Terms of Use
Your documents remain yours
You retain ownership of every document you upload and of the transcripts we produce from it. Uploading a document does not transfer any ownership or intellectual-property rights to Enscript.
Your responsibility to have a lawful basis
You represent that, for each document you upload, you have the rights, permission, or other lawful basis needed to process it through Enscript. You are solely responsible for ensuring that uploading and transcribing the document is lawful for you.
The limited permission you grant us
To provide the service, you grant Enscript and the service providers that operate on our behalf a limited permission to store, process, and transmit your document and its transcript solely to process, provide, and secure the service for you. We use that permission for nothing else.
What you may not do
- Engage in unlawful activity, or use the service to further it.
- Abuse, disrupt, or attempt to compromise the service or its users.
- Upload malware or content designed to harm systems or people.
- Carry out any unauthorized or illegal processing of a document, including processing you have no lawful basis to perform.
We do not decide who owns what
Enscript does not adjudicate, transfer, license, or resolve third-party rights in the documents you upload. We provide a transcription tool; we do not grant you rights you do not already hold, and a dispute about a document’s rights is between you and the parties who hold them.
See our Privacy & Retention page for how long we keep your files and where they are processed.
